Established 1940　　80th anniversary

今年は中川絹糸株式会社が創業して80周年になります。

1940年（昭和15年）。時局はヨーロッパではドイツがパリを占拠。日本は第2次近衛内閣が発足し、秋には日独伊三国同盟が成立。内外ともに厳しい局面でした。
そんな時代にも「仕事を通して社会に貢献したい」との思いを馳せ、中川兄弟は事業を興します。

すでに軍事統制下、必要なものがなかなか手に入らない中で、それまで培った技術と挑戦する意欲だけは誰にも負けない二人の兄弟は、周囲の心配もよそに事業家としてスタートしたのです。

この写真は創業間もない頃に撮影されたものです。

この写真からも二人の並々ならぬ決意が伝わってきます。

二人はすでに結婚をしており、後ろで真ん中に立つ綾子と一人おいて左に道子は彼らの妻です。

やがて戦局が厳しくなると、主たちは徴兵され戦地に。残された二人の女性は工場の切り盛りを行いました。

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of Nakagawa Silk Inc.

1940 (Showa 15). In Europe, Germany occupied Paris in Europe. The second Konoe Cabinet was established in Japan, and in the fall the Japan-Germany Ikoku Union was established. It was a tough time both inside and outside.

Even in such times, the Nakagawa Brothers started their business with the desire to contribute to society through their work.

Already under military control, it was difficult to get what was needed, but the two brothers, who were second only to the skills they had cultivated and the willingness to take on challenges, started as an entrepreneur regardless of the concerns of others.

This photo also conveys their extraordinary determination.

The two are already married, and Ayako standing in the middle in the back and Michiko on their left are their wives. 

Eventually, when the war situation became severe, the Lords were recruited to the battlefield. The remaining two women management the factory.

本来なら今年は80周年をお祝いするイベントを開催する予定でした。

しかし新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大による影響で、人が集まり、飲食を伴う行事は感染の危険を伴います。

少し時期はずれますが、もう少し世の中の落ち着きが出て、そのようなイベントの開催も可能になるまで少し開催を見送ります。

とても残念ですが、創業当時の若い兄弟の並々ならぬ決意をもう一度思い起こし、この新型コロナウイルス感染症の時代を乗り切っていきます。

This year, we planned to hold an event to celebrate the 80th anniversary.

However, due to the spread of new coronavirus infection, events that involve people gathering and eating are at risk of infection.

It will be a little late, but I will abandon it until the world becomes more calm and it becomes possible to hold such an event.

I am very sorry, but I will once again remember the extraordinary determination of my younger brothers at the time of foundation, and will survive the era of this new coronavirus infection.
