中川絹糸株式会社では30年余り原料としての「シルクスライバー」を、一般に梳毛工程でのスライバーミックス向けと、綿紡工程のスライバーカットを行い生産・販売してきました。

しかし近年、糸の高品質化や小ロット生産に対応したスライバーの開発が求められています。

そこで従来とは全く違う方法で、スライバーを一定の繊維長にそろえて連続したスライバーに加工する方法（シルクアジャストメント）を開発しました。

この方法でスライバーを作ると、シルクの欠点であるネップの発生が極力抑えられるのと、ミックスする繊維の長さに合わせて自由に繊維長が決められるので、紡績工程のゲージ（繊維長の長短で変更する）を一定化でき、安定した生産が可能になります。

また、スライバーミックスで生産できることで、混綿のための混打綿やカード工程・コーマ工程が不要になり、大幅なコストダウンと小ロット対応が容易になります。

さらにオプションで「クリンプ加工」や「静電防止加工」も付与することが出来るので、様々なニーズに対応可能となりました。

However, in recent years, development of a sliver compatible with high quality yarn and small lot production is required.

Therefore, we developed a method (silk adjustment) to process the sliver into a continuous sliver by aligning the sliver to a fixed fiber length by a completely different method.

If a sliver is produced by this method, the generation of the neps, which is a defect of silk, can be minimized, and the fiber length can be freely determined according to the length of the fibers to be mixed. Can be made constant, and stable production becomes possible.

In addition, sliver mix production eliminates the need for mixed batting, card processing, and combing processes for mixed cotton, making it possible to reduce costs significantly and facilitate small lots.

Furthermore, since "crimp processing" and "antistatic processing" can be added as options, it has become possible to meet various needs.
