Gichya Silk（Tasar silk India）

インドにはかつて数多くの野蚕が有りましたが、インドにおいても経済発展とともに野蚕の生息する森林が伐採され、都市化が進む中でかつてのように野蚕を収入源としていた人々が減少しています。

ジャールカンド州の(Jharkhand)の州都ラーンチ（Ranchi）周辺では今でもタサール蚕が飼育され、タサール蚕の生糸も生産されています。

また、公的な機関である「タサール蚕中央研究・研修所」（Central Tasar Research and Training Institute）が有り、タサール蚕の飼育から糸の生産にかかわる技術指導が行われています。

さて、タサール蚕には写真のような樹木にぶら下がるための「枝絹」（Peduncle silk）を足場にして繭を作ります。

生糸を生産する時にはこの「枝絹」は不要なので繭から分離します。

この「枝絹」ばかりを集め綿にして紡いだものが「ギチャ」として僅かに流通しています。

ところがこの「ギチャ」は手つむぎのため糸の繊度偏差（太細）が激しく、また、天然の色むらも多くこのままで織物等に利用すると織り段や色むらによるキズばかりのものになってしまいます。また品質管理が行き届かないため、葉っぱカスやさなぎカスも多く、粗野感はありますが高級感の無いものになってしまい、ニーズが限られるためほとんどが使われずに民芸的な使用に留まってきました。

そこで、弊社ではこの「枝絹」を直接インドより入手し、日本で精練から精綿・紡糸まで一貫して行うことで品質が安定した中で、手紬感の面白さも残しながら糸にすることに成功しました。

また天然の色の濃淡を利用し、杢糸調に仕上げることで世界的にも類を見ないオリジナルな糸として完成しました。

風合いはウールの様な感じで、「ハリ」や「コシ」があります。

ニットや織物に独特の風合いを与えます。

In addition, there is Central Tasar Research and Training Institute that is a public organization, and technical guidance to be concerned with the production of the thread is performed by the breeding of the Tasar silkworm.

I make a scaffold and make a cocoon.

When I produce raw silk, I separate from a cocoon because this "Peduncle silk" is unnecessary.

The thing which I collect "only branch silk" and make cotton and spun slightly circulates as "Gichya".

However, this "Gichya" "spins a hand", and I have intense fineness deviation of the thread, and when natural uneven coloring is a lot the same and uses it to textiles again, I weave it, and it is to the thing only of a wound by a step and the uneven coloring. In addition, there are many leaf refuse and pupa refuse, and there is the coarse feeling because quality control is not perfect, but of the sense of quality there was not it, and almost none of remained in unused folk handicraft-like use because needs was limited.

I obtained this "Peduncle silk" from direct India in us and succeeded in what I did to a thread while leaving the fun of a feeling of handwoven pongee while it was to perform it from refinement to cotton carding, yarn in Japan throughout, and quality was stable.

In addition, using the light and shade of the natural color, it was completed as the original thread which was globally unique by finishing it in heathered yarn-like.

We have "tension" and "elasticity" in the texture for a feeling such as the wool.
